This course is intended for managers and supervisors responsible for the health and safety of persons who may be at risk of injury by manual handling activities and wish to conduct or co-ordinate manual handling risk assessments within their organisation.
Delegates will be given practical advice in safe handling techniques and will be informed of the requirements of the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 and relevant legislation such as the Health and Safety at Work Act and the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations.
At the end of the course delegates will understand when it is necessary to undertake assessments and understand the need to implement a manual handling programme.
